		Who WeAm Press is a San Francisco publisher, established in 1997. WeAm's first online project is Erotasy, a reading and publishing resource devoted to fine erotic literature. WeAm is owned and managed by Louise and Tom Baquero Deerfield. They share a lifelong passion for reading, and a great love and appreciation for writers, as well as for each other. What Erotasy publishes extraordinary erotic literature, with an emphasis on literary short fiction. Its stories appeal to those who both enjoy good literature and agree that literature and libido are not strange bedfellows. Erotasy's stories are delivered in PDF (Portable Document Format) files, which print out beautifully. Only Adobe's Acrobat Reader, (a free download), is required to open the files. Erotasy uses the safest, fastest methods of ordering and delivery. Why The balance is lopsided. There is far too much trash posing as erotica on the 'net. There is not enough quality erotic literature. It is an evolution issue. The Erotasy Story Erotasy's co-founders, Louise and Tom Baquero Deerfield, share a strong interest in the body of writing inspired by erotic experience, and a committment to bringing it to a wider audience. When Louise searched for erotica online, she was surprised to find so little well-crafted erotic literature. Her discovery catalyzed the creation of Erotasy. Having lived the "writer's life," Tom and Louise understand the difficulties that even very talented authors have in publishing their works and reaching their audiences. Together, they decided to find writers who were creating outstanding work, and deserved greater exposure. They feel strongly that online media, in reaching a growing market, has the potential to provide compensation to short story writers at least as well as traditional print publishing. Erotasy aspires to elevate the standard of online erotica, while maximizing compensation to its writers. It is founded on the belief that readers who appreciate excellent erotica will pay a modest amount to securely purchase it through their computers, provided it is delivered in an attractive format that is easy to read and print. Erotasy is not a deep-pocketed, venture-capital-funded corporation that can afford to lose money for the purpose of building a name database to sell advertising. Rather, it is a self-funded start-up that aims to do high-tech business the old-fashioned way: Erotasy sells a valuable product at a reasonable price. It also provides free erotica on the site. Erotasy's success will create a new venue for writers to sell their creations, participate in the financial rewards and gain global exposure. There are many kinds of erotica, from the raunchy to the unexplicit and cereberal. Choosing neither extreme, Erotasy presents provocative literature that celebrates sexuality for its mystery, suspense, warmth, longing and taboo, as well as humor and excitement. There are no non-consensual or under-age stories, and none of the poorly-written porn that is free (and worth it) all over the Internet. Most of Erotasy's stories are exclusive to the site and all are listed in categories of Heterosexual, Gay, Lesbian and Varied/Mixed. Each story is briefly described on The Stories page. Each story also has its own Preview page, where seekers can read well into it, to get a good sense of the writer's offering. Purchases are made with a credit card over a secure server. Purchased stories are delivered, handsomely formatted, in PDF (Portable Document Format), which allows easier reading and beautiful printing on most printers. The PDF file system is also used to discourage re-posting, further protecting the copyrights of the writers. A popular feature of the site is the free serial, with a new segment added every Sunday.
